Call of Duty: Vanguard’s beta period will be open to all at the weekend, according to a press release issued by the game‘s official website.

The open period will begin from 6 am BST / 1 pm EST / 10 pm
PT on Saturday 18th September until 6 pm / 1 pm EST / 10 am PT BST Monday
September 20.

There will also be a slew of new features. In addition to
Champion Hill, Patrol mode will be available throughout the open time. The
press announcement states, “Based on Hardpoint, this objective-based mode
features a scoring zone in near-constant motion.” All of the usual
suspects will be available, including Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination,
and Search & Destroy.

Vanguard is also adding a ‘combat pacing system,’ which lets
players choose between several types of lobbies and player numbers. Tactical
is known for serving up 6v6 fights. The overall number of players in Assault
will range from 20 to 28.

Blitz is a fast-paced game with anything from 24 to 48
participants. If the player likes to be startled, they can disregard this
setting and leave it at ‘all.’

Cross-play will be allowed and players on all platforms will
be able to play on the same maps and modes. There are four maps in all, ranging
in size from the extremely massive Red Star to the considerably more compact
Eagle’s Nest.

There will be six operators accessible in the beta, as well
as numerous small tie-ins to acquire weaponry in the full game and other Call
of Duty
titles.

Tracking of players’ progress will be available in preparation for the final release.

A GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 with 16GB RAM is
required to achieve recommended performance. For Call of Duty: Black Ops III,
the beta download is 45GB.

On November 5th, the game will be released on PC, PS4/PS5,
Xbox Series XS, and Xbox One.
