The National Testing Agency (NTA) on July 11, Monday declared the results of the Joint Exam Main (JEE Main) 2022 result. Over 7 lakh students appeared for the session 1 exams in June. Engineering services company L&T Technology Services (LTTS), on April 21, reported a 34.7% year-on-year rise in net profit at Rs 262 crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2022. The wholly-owned subsidiary of the conglomerate Larsen & Toubro had reported a net profit of Rs 194.5 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations for the quarter rose 21.9% YoY to Rs 1,756.1 crore from Rs 1,446.6 crore in the year-ago quarter. And today is our lucky day because this is the day we get to know the story of Nishant Jain's father.,Nishant Jain, an artist, writer, and webcomic creator, shared an emotional Twitter post for his father, Lalit Jain, on Father's Day.,"My father saved me the day I was about to join FIITJEE. We went to pay the fees together. The receptionist explained a daily schedule of 5-6 hours of homework, with no room for sports or other interests. "Everyone is doing it, here's the form for the fee..." wrote Nishant.,"The story goes back to 2004, I was an intelligent studious kid who just like everyone else, followed the aspiration to secure admission into an engineering college of good repute," Nishant told Better India.,To me, it seemed like a natural move to study for the JEE. After I cleared my JEE entrance examination, my father and I went to the institute to pay the fees and find out more. It was only when we reached the institute did my father start asking them about the course and what it would entail, said Nishant.,They went in there without detailed knowledge of what was amiss. On enquiring about the course, the&nbsp;counsellor told them that prepping for JEE would mean that I will have to give up two years of my life, Nishant told Better India.,No "other distractions or time for anything else", the counsellor said.,"This is the time when my father decided against enrolling in the institute and encouraged me to do the same. That instance could very well be described as the turning point in my life,” he said.,Nishant, however, went on to prepare for IIT JEE, without sacrificing two precious years of his life and interests and got admission in an elite engineering college.,"While studying for the JEE entrance, I also spent a lot of time reading, maintaining a blog, playing sports and enjoying free time, " Nishant said and added that those two years played a huge role in what he has become today.,The blog that he started in Class 11 transformed into a webcomic, which today is a website. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on Monday announced that engineering and technical institutions across the country will begin the academic session for freshers from December 1. The deadline for admissions has been further extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ,The University Grants Commission (UGC) had last month announced that the delayed academic session for freshers in universities and colleges will begin from November 1, and the winter break this year and summer vacation will be curtailed to make up for the lost time.&nbsp;,AICTE secretary Rajive Kumar in an official order said, “As we all are aware, our country is going through a national emergency that has arisen due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Due to prolonged emergent conditions in the country, requests from various state governments and the ongoing admission process of IITs and NITs, the council has extended the last date of admission to first-year engineering courses (UG and diploma lateral entry) to November 30.”,"The classes may be started in the online, offline or blended mode, following the prescribed protocols and guidelines related to COVID-19. The academic calendar may further change, subject to the condition existing due to the pandemic and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education," he added.,Universities and schools across the country have been closed since March 16, when the Centre announced a countrywide classroom shutdown as part of the measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus.,The guidelines framed by an expert committee, set up for revising the academic calendar in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, were accepted by the UGC and accordingly, the universities have been recommended a six-day teaching learning schedule every week.

29, extended the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 registration
till October 7. The announcement was made on their official website. Earlier, the last date for the registration was September 30.,“Online registration for GATE 2021 is extended up to
