Following a shooting that left two people dead at a nearby campsite, the Beyond Wonderland festival’s second day is now canceled.

Authorities said a suspect is in custody after at least two people were murdered in a shooting on Saturday night at an electronic dance music festival. Beyond Wonderland was taking place at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, when, at about 8:25 p.m. local time, reports of a gunman in the nearby campgrounds surfaced.

Later that night, according to a police conference, officers “chased (and) approached the suspect,” but they proceeded to randomly shoot into the crowd until being caught. Afterward, Beyond Wonderland stated that “there is currently no danger to festival-goers or campsites,” but it urged attendees to stay away from the problematic campsite because of the “incident.”

“Our team is actively collecting more information, and we will promptly provide further updates as they become available. We genuinely appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this matter,” they wrote.

Whipped Cream’s producer abruptly postponed his appearance on Beyond Wonderland following the shooting incident. “I’m sorry, but I can’t perform knowing that people have just died here, we need to show some respect,” they allegedly wrote in a deleted tweet. “I’m in complete shock and I’m going to pay my respects to the families who have just lost a loved one.”

According to a recent update posted on the festival’s app, the second day of Beyond Wonderland will now be entirely canceled. “Earlier tonight, a separate incident occurred in a remote part of the festival campsite. As a result, the second day of Beyond Wonderland, unfortunately, was canceled,” the message says, although the tent camp will be open until tomorrow (June 19), so people have somewhere to stay. Among the acts slated to perform today were Afrojack, Andy C, and Marshmello.
