The Secret Service has been branded “ridiculous” by Republicans after they decided to close their investigation of cocaine found at the White House.

To make matters worse, the culprit list was narrowed down to 500 people before the investigation was shut down. This effectively meant that the investigation did not yield any specific culprit who might have brought drugs into the White House.

GOP Rep. Tim Burchett sarcastically said that the agents decided “it’s just some weekend visitor.” He called the investigation “another coverup” by the Biden White House. “It’s bogus,” said the Tennessee congressman. “That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in my life.”

Eleven days after white powder – later verified to be cocaine – was found at the White House, prompting an evacuation and a hazmat situation, the Secret Service briefed Congress about the latest update on their investigation. Even though almost every part of the White House is reportedly monitored 24/7 and the Secret Service spent days pouring over the tapes, they have not managed to find a culprit.

The Secret Service reported that no DNA or fingerprints were discovered on the cocaine container. The ‘dime-sized’ zipper-lock baggie contained less than a gramme of the illegal substance.

With nearly two weeks to look into the cocaine discovery and no direct responses from the USSS or the Biden administration, members of Congress sought briefings.

Mark Morgan, the CBP Director during the Trump administration and a former FBI agent, told DailyMail.com last week that the case is “straightforward” and could be resolved in only 30 minutes.

Republicans in Congress are unlikely to be pleased if USSS wraps up its investigation without identifying the person or people who brought the illegal substance into the West Wing.
