Ruby Franke has six children.
The a 41-year-old YouTuber facing charges for aggravated child abuse in Provo, Utah, reportedly made shocking sexual abuse allegations about one of her six children during a court hearing. According to the Daily Mail, during the court appearance conducted via video from a Utah jail, Franke claimed that one of her minor children had abused a sibling and molested “several” other family members and neighbors over the course of “years.”
Additionally, Franke alleged that the troubled child had started viewing pornography at the age of 3. Disturbingly, after the alleged abuse began with a younger sibling, the victim also became involved in sexual abuse, according to the outlet’s report. The molestation was purportedly concealed under the guise of a “patting” game, although no further details were provided regarding this activity.
Franke further asserted that the child who initiated the sexual abuse had confessed to their crimes to her in May. These allegations have added significant complexity to the legal proceedings surrounding Franke’s charges of aggravated child abuse.
Notably, the social media star, Ruby Franke, did not present any evidence to support her disturbing claims, as reported by the Daily Mail.
During the hearing, an attorney who claimed to represent one of the mothers of a molestation victim sought to be heard in the courtroom. However, the judge reportedly declined this attorney’s request, indicating that such claims could be addressed at a later time. The judge did emphasize that the child accused of abuse would need to be placed in a home without other children.
The hearing, as detailed by the Daily Mail, lasted only around 30 minutes. During this brief proceeding, two of Franke’s older children were present when their mother made these troubling allegations. Ruby Franke’s husband, Kevin Franke, who had previously asserted, through his attorney, that he had no involvement in the alleged abuse within their household, also attended the hearing but did not provide any comments.
The Franke family’s distressing secrets were initially brought to public attention when Ruby was arrested on August 30 on suspicion of aggravated child abuse.
Subsequently, earlier in the week, both Ruby and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, faced additional charges, including four counts of child abuse. These charges stem from allegations of causing or permitting “serious physical injury to the victims in three different ways: (1) a combination of multiple physical injuries or torture, (2) starvation or malnutrition endangering life, and (3) causing severe emotional harm,” as stated by the Washington County Attorney’s Office.

In the wake of these abuse allegations becoming public, various instances of concerning behavior exhibited by Ruby have resurfaced online. For instance, there was an incident where she reportedly refused to provide lunch to her 6-year-old as a form of teaching a “lesson.” Another example involved her son Chad, who was allegedly made to sleep on a beanbag for a duration of seven months as a form of punishment.
The incident that ultimately led to Ruby’s arrest involved an emaciated child who had duct tape around their arms and legs. This child fled the Franke residence and sought refuge at a neighbor’s house, triggering an investigation into the matter.
