A suspect arrested in connection with the killings of four
University of Idaho Students in November is willing to waive his extradition
hearing so he can be quickly brought to Idaho to face murder charges, his
defense attorney said Saturday, reported CBS News.

Bryan Kohberger, a 28-year-old PhD student and teaching
assistant in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Washington
State University, was arrested early Friday morning by the Pennsylvania State
Police at his parents’ home in Chestnuthill Township.

He will still have to be in front of the judge Tuesday to
sign off on the paperwork, said Jason LaBar, Chief Public Defender at Monroe
County.

The four victims – Ethan Chapin, 20, from Conway,
Washington; Xana Kernodle, 20, from Avondale, Arizona; Madison Mogen, 21, from
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, from Rathdrum, Idaho were found
dead on November 13 in a house Kernodle, Mogen and Goncalves shared with two

heavy speculation on social media over the last six weeks.

According to Idaho authorities, Kohlberger was arrested in
Pennsylvania on a fugitive warrant and is facing four counts of first-degree
murder and felony burglary.

The state law limits the amount of information about the
investigation that can be released, as the probable cause statement is sealed
until Kohberger appears in an Idaho court, said Moscow Police Chief James Fry.

Autopsies showed all four victims were likely asleep when
they were attacked. Some had defensive wounds and each was stabbed multiple
times. There were no signs of sexual assault, police said.

LaBar says Kohlberger has neither denied nor admitted to
the charges against him – implicitly or explicitly – he did say his client told
him he felt he would be exonerated, which suggests he believes he’s innocent.
Kohberger and his parents are shocked by his arrest.
