A Somali immigrant woman was hit in the face with a brick after she refused to give out her number to a man she did not know in Houston, Texas.
A video of the woman hospitalized and asking for justice has gone viral since the incident. The woman, whose name has not been disclosed, said that she was surrounded by men who did absolutely nothing. She added that the suspect got in a car and left the scene after assaulting her and she is afraid he will never get caught.

Although the suspect has not been identified either, a number of social media reports suggested that the man was another African immigrant in Downtown Houston. The woman was enjoying herself after just leaving a club. That was when the man walked up to her and asked for her number. The woman rejected his advances and declined to give her number to him. That was when the man picked up a big brick and hurled it at the woman striking her in the face.
Houston Police Department has refused to comment on the incident and wouldn’t say if there is an active investigation into this incident or not.

However, many people called out the woman as a possible con woman as she was seen in many videos acting as if she was walking up to random white men and pretending to slap them across the face.
Another user on X, formerly known as Twitter, slammed the woman for another video that she had uploaded on social media. “Chick say we didn’t know how to do our makeup, dress, catch a man, none of that…WE didn’t even have bossy about transwomen These immigrants really be PUSHING unnecessary divides. And this is exactly WHY I delineate every damn thing in my life and around me.”
Another user commented: “She talking all this cash shit about men online and how women can do everything by themselves then gets caught with the brick and then his crying for men to protect her . Ladies be careful of what you ask for You might just get equality #brickgate.”
