American rapper and hip-hop star Dr De has brought together a dream team of artists for the 2022 Super Bowl half-time show.

The promo for the show features musicians such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar uniting with Dr Dre and marching towards Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium to the song by 2Pac, Roger Troutman and Dre’s titled ‘California Love’. 

The trailer begins with Eminem and his younger version ‘Slim Shad’, singing parts of his song ‘Rap God’. Next in line is Snoop Dogg, who is seen driving and grooving to his track ‘The Next Episode’.

Then comes Blige, who is in the middle of a photoshoot with her song ‘Family Affair’ playing in the background. Next up is Lamar, who can be seen sitting at a desk and writing something on sheets of paper, while his hit track ‘humble’ plays. 

‘The most epic, star-studded Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show trailer is OUT,’ Pepsi captioned the post on social media. The trailer is titled ‘The Call’, as each of the artists receives a notification on their phones before heading out and eventually joining Dr Dre.

The preview has been directed by F Gary Gray of the Straight Outta Compton. He has spoken about this project in a statement. “Each time I collaborate with Dre, it seems to mark an important moment in entertainment history. As a super fan, I consider it an honor and privilege to authentically build and create this moment with five of the most legendary artists in music history. It’s been a blast!” according to a report by Los Angeles Times.

The mega-performance will take place at the 56th Super Bowl halftime show, which will go on air on February 13 on NBC. 

The half-time show has been featuring some of the top Hollywood artists throughout the years. Artists such as Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Bruno Mars, Madonna, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Lady Gaga to Justin Timberlake have performed in the show.
