Haim gave out a solid performance towards the beginning of
the Grammy Awards 2021. The sister trio, made up of Danielle, Este and Alana
Haim, were previously nominated for Best Artist in 2015 and have received
nominations this year for Album of the Year. Women in Music Pt III, their
latest studio album, faces fellow nominees such as Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Post
Malone and Coldplay alongside others.
‘The Steps’, a single from the band’s album, was nominated
on the other hand in the Best Rock Performance category, where other nominees made
up for an all-women category, such as Fiona Apple, Big Thief, Britanny Howard,
Phoebe Bridgers and Grace Potter.

The performance followed Billie Eilish performing ‘Everything
I Wanted’ and Harry Styles setting a groovy vibe with ‘Watermelon Sugar’.
The band members coordinated their look in the awards, with matching purple-blue outfits in the beginning.
Throughout the performance, glimpses of other nominated artists, such as Billie Eilish, Finneas, and Harry Styles were caught through the wings, dancing away to the groove whenever they got a chance.
