British billionaire Hamish Harding is among the five passengers onboard the missing submersible that vanished en route to visit the Titanic wreckage on Sunday, with just a four-day emergency oxygen supply.

As marine officials conduct a massive search in order to rescue the passengers in time, Harding’s stepson, Brian Szasz was seen enjoying a Blink-182 concert in San Diego. He posted a pic of himself outside the venue, with the caption, “It might be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the Blink-182 show as it’s my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times!”

After his disappearance, his stepson Brian Szasz said on Facebook on Monday: “Thoughts and prayers for my stepfather Hamish Harding as his submarine has gone missing exploring Titanic. A search and rescue mission is underway. Thoughts and prayers for my mom and Hamish Harding.”

Who is Brian Szasz?

According to his Facebook profile, Brian Szasz is a recording/mixing engineer. He studied at San Diego State University. He went to Carlsbad High. He is from Oceanside, California. He lives in San Diego, California.

He briefly lived in Princeton, New Jersey in 1991. His father is Leslie Szasz.

Szasz is the stepson of billionaire Hamish Harding, who was one of the five persons on board the missing Titan, the submersible that was supposed to take tourists down to the Titanic’s wreckage.

Szasz was the first to confirm that the businessman was among those aboard the submarine.

OceanGate Expeditions charged Harding and four other passengers $250,000 for seats on the submersible that journeyed to the bottom of the Atlantic near Newfoundland to explore the Titanic’s 111-year-old wreckage. During a recent voyage, the submersible lost contact with the surface workers after about one hour and 45 minutes. Since then, no more communication has been established.

Szasz was criticized on social media for attending a concert a day after his step dad’s disappearance. In his defense, he said, “It might be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the blink-182 show as it’s my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times!”

Soon after Szasz was criticized for attending a Blink 182 performance while his stepfather was missing, charges of surveillance and harassment that he had endured in the past surfaced online.

Brian Szasz, Hamish Harding’s stepson, was called out online in July 2021 for sending many texts, tweeting threats, and terrifying remarks to women in the rave community.

According to Exron Music, after being called out for harassing women in the rave community, Brian Szasz threatened people with a “massacre” at the Excision and Illenium’s Trilogy events that were set to take place in Las Vegas at the time.

According to the magazine, Brian also tweeted that it was amusing that the ladies who accused him of harassing them believe they are safe at the Trilogy and that he will run into them there. The threats were immediately reported to the Excision and Illenium teams, who acted.
