Answer: South Korea

POSCO stands for  Pohang Iron and Steel Co Ltd and is headquartered at Pohand. According to the official website of the company, its history is described as, “Just as human civilization and steel shared the same path of development, the path that POSCO has walked down is inseparable from the history of Korea’s economic growth. The dream of developing a steel industry in Korea started to come to light with the plan to construct a general steelworks in the 1960s.Despite starting from scratch without capital, technology, and experience, the great journey towards establishing an integrated steelworks began with the POSCO’s foundation on April 1, 1968.”

“South Korean steelmaker Posco has succeeded in locally producing special steel pipes for hydrogen transportation and will supply them for the first time to the city of Ansan, Gyeonggi Province,” the company said Tuesday.

To carry the large volume of hydrogen transfer required in hydrogen test bed towns like Ansan, larger pipes as broad as 20 centimetres are required. However, imported products with welded parts were only used on a limited basis due to safety concerns, according to Posco.
