The upcoming ‘She-Hulk‘ series faced some initial criticism over the graphics, but fans are excited to see Bruce Banner or Hulk’s cousin Jennifer Walters, who acquires these powers after a blood transfusion.
While She-Hulk has all the powers of other individuals in the Marvel Universe, who’ve been exposed to gamma radiation, she retains her intelligence as well. The superhero possesses the same strength like Hulk, though some comic iterations have shown her to be stronger. Needless to say, She-Hulk can hold her own in a fight, and also possesses the ability to leap to great heights.
The character is not just a notable New York attorney but has often assisted the Fantastic Four as well. Walters, unlike Banner, has always embraced her alter-ego, which does away with much of the tension present in the Hulk stories that often play out as a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde narrative.
When Walters was shot in the back by crime boss Nicholas Trask, she needed a blood transfusion, and her cousin was at hand. After the procedure, she came away with superpowers. The Disney+ series has nine episodes and is in Part IV of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It airs on August 17 and ends on October 12. Mark Ruffalo, who’s already played Hulk in the films, will reprise his role on the show.
