Akshay Kumar’s upcoming action-adventure film Ram Setu has been directed by Abhishek Sharma, the 35-year-old director who has made movies like Tere Bin Laden and Paramanu: The Story of Pokhran. The film will release on Tuesday, October 25.

The protagonist of the novel is a former atheist archaeologist who has become a believer who must work quickly to establish the veracity of the mythical Ram Setu before bad forces attempt to demolish this important piece of Indian history. Along with Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Satyadev Kancharana. 

Since learning about a legal dispute involving Ram Setu in 2007, Abhishek Sharma has been attempting to develop a plot. Aruna Bhatia, Akshay Kumar’s mother, and Vikram Malhotra are the co-producers of the movie, which is distributed by Amazon Prime Video, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Productions, and Kumar’s Cape of Good Films.

It is also the first Bollywood film to be produced by Amazon in India.
