Golden Retrievers are Scottish retriever dogs of medium size. Its gorgeous golden coat and kind, caring personality define it. It is one of the most frequently recognised breeds in a number of Western nations and is regularly kept as a pet. It frequently participates in dog competitions and obedience tests are employed as a gundog and can be trained to work as a guiding dog.
In the late nineteenth century, Sir Dudley Marjoribanks developed the breed at his Scottish farm Guisachan. With more Red Setter, Labrador Retriever, and Bloodhound fusions, he crossed Flat-coated Retrievers and Tweed Water Spaniels. After becoming recognised by the Kennel Club in 1913, the breed became popular throughout the world throughout the interwar years.
The Golden Retriever is a medium-sized dog breed with a robust build; in accordance with the Kennel Club breed standard, males and females should stand between 56 and 61 centimetres tall and 51 and 56 centimetres tall, respectively. Examples of healthy adults normally range in weight from 25 to 34 kilogrammes.
The Golden Retriever features a broad head with a well-defined stop, dark eyes spaced widely apart, a muscular wide mouth, a huge black nose, dark-pigmented, slightly drooping flews, and medium-sized, high-set ears with a small fold. The body is deep through the chest with well-sprung ribs, the shoulders are well-relaxed and long-bladed, and the neck is muscular and reasonably long with loose-fitting skin.
The long, straight tail is typically carried flat and fairly parallel to the back, and the back is typically level from the withers to the croup. The hind legs are strong with well-bent stifles and muscular thighs, and the feet are cat-like. The forelegs are straight and have good bone.
