Some of the household names when it comes to BBC presenters are used to rake in millions of pounds every year and Gary Lineker has managed to top that chart six years in a row.

The British broadcaster has revealed a list of its top-earning stars for the present financial year. Lineker, who is the host of Match of the Day and the BBC’s World Cup coverage, draws in a whopping £1.35million, topping the chart. He was followed in the second position by Radio 2 breakfast host Zoe Ball who earned £980,000 last year, making her the highest-paid radio star.

What was surprising was that some of the other BBC faces like Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman did not make the list. This might be because their shows are produced by companies like BBC studios, which are not directly part of BBC.

In third place was Alan Shearer with an annual drawn salary of £445,000. He was followed by Huw Edwards and Stephen Nolan with £435,000 and £400,000 respectively.

Meanwhile, BBC’s director-general Tim Davie is earning less than sports star Lineker as he takes home £525,000.

Here is a list of BBC’s top earners:

Gary Lineker – £1,350,000 ($1,740,082)

Zoe Ball – £980,000 ($1,263,171)
