Real Madrid registered a thumping win of 5-0 against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday 19, 2021. Karim Benzema scored on the eve of his trial in France on charges of complicity in blackmail.  Serhi Krivtsov’s own first-half goal put Real Madrid in their stride before Vinicius Jr. scored two fine goals and set up Rodrigo for fourth.  Benzema added a fifth in injury time in a game he played in Kiev.

His goal Sergiy Kryvtsov, who turned into Lucas Vazquez’s net, gave Real a one-goal goal at half-time. Vinicius scored two goals in five minutes after a restart, approaching close before hitting three players to add a brilliant third.

Rodrygo hit Vinicius’ ground before Karim Benzema fell home late. It was a good second half show by Real and especially Vinicius, who has continued to run well for form this season.

The 21-year-old has now scored seven goals in nine games for Real in all competitions – and this was his first Champions League appearance this season.
