Sophia Di Martino was introduced as Sylvie in Loki series that premiered on June 9. Sylvie is a female variant of Loki, however, she seems to possess very different powers than what the original god of mischief possesses. As per TVA, the timeline is naturally inclined towards chaos due to the creation of innumerable branched timelines.

Lady Loki aka Sylvie appears to be a combination of two characters from the comics namely %u2013 Lady Loki and the second Enchantress. Sylvie is certainly very different from the God of Mischief. The different physique and experiences of Sylvie has resulted in a very different fighting style to Loki. Moreover, Sylvie is a variant from a branched timeline, so there are possibilities that Loki and Sylvie are different on genetic level too. This may also affect how her magic develops.

Certainly, the difference in Loki and Sylvie’s fighting styles and powerset may have been the main reason why Sylvie has caused so much trouble for the TVA. Keeping aside all of that, here’s the special abilities that Lady Loki possesses but Loki lacks:
Lady Loki: Can possess the body of an individual
In terms of hand-to-hand combat, Sylvie is more experienced while on the other hand, Loki hates the use of physical force. It may be noted that initially, Sylvie challenged Loki through %u2013 the bodies of others. Lady Loki suggested that she prefers to restrict her own personal exposure to risks.

Seemingly, Sylvie is able to dominate only the minds of weaker-minded individuals. She transforms them into her puppets and speaks and acts through them. However, individuals with strong willpower tends to resist her possession. Also, her powers are limited as she can possess one person at a time. Notably, strength have been enhanced by hosts during the possession but it collapses in exhaustion and fatigue when she moves on.
Lady Loki: Can enter individuals minds
‘Enchantments of mind’ appears to be a speciality of Lady Loki. The same was visible in Loki episode 3, where it was shown how daunting these powers can be. It was shown that when she makes physical contact with an individual, Sylvie is able to weave an enchantment that can penetrate through their mind. This enchantment prompts them to reveal their deepest secrets.

It may be noted that this enchantment can be resisted but the amount of resistance depends on the strength of the will. Individual with strong minds can easily get past these spells. As for Sylvie, in case of strong minds, she creates a false reality out of their memories and compels them to think herself as a trusted friend, adviser, or perhaps even lover. This magic is certainly powerful and the same was proved when she used it on a TVA hunter. She managed to penetrate the Time-Keepers’ brainwashing and also brought back memories which she asserted to be centuries old.
As for the actual God of Mischief, Loki possesses limited psychic abilities. The same was seen when he used it on Erik Selvig and helped him achieve his wicked purposes in the first Thor movie. However, in Loki, Lady Loki seems to have more control and experience in this area than Loki.
