Neo-Nazi, Daniel Harris has been given 11-and-a-half-year sentence in young offenders institution. He has noticeably been posting far-right videos that influenced convicted and accused gunman across the United States. He will also be serving additional three years on extended licence once released.

Harris has expressed vile racist, antisemitic, misogynistic, and homophobic views in his videos. He has also been instigating young white supremacists to take up arms to “exterminate sub-humans”. These videos were allegedly watched by gunmen like Payton Gendron, who killed 10 people in Buffalo, New York.

Who is Daniel Harris?

19-year-old Daniel Harris has been sharing far-right videos for the last two years. In December, he was convicted of five counts of encouraging terrorism. He also tried to make a gun using a 3D-printer, for which he was charged for one count of possession of material for terrorist purposes.

Harris’ videos were also linked to the defacing of George Floyd memorial with racist comments. Anderson Lee Aldrich, the only suspect in a shooting at a gay bar in Colorado, is also allegedly been influenced by Harris words.

Judge Patrick Field KC has categorised Harris ‘highly dangerous’ over his role in spreading and encouraging terrorism among white supremacists in the US. Daniel was removed from his school in Lord Street at the age of 7. The court concluded that the family and local authority have miserably failed in protecting Daniel from the extremist circle.

Harris has been able to continue his work and ask people to take up arms despite being under supervision by probation officer.
