Elon Musk’s 76-year-old father, Errol, confirmed that he had a second child with his stepdaughter, Jana Bezuidenhout.
The Musk family patriarch married Jana’s mother Heide after he divorced Elon’s mother Maye.
Jana is a South African media personality and was born on March 11, 1988. She was four years old when Musk married Heide. Musk and Heide split up after 18 years of marriage and they have two kids together.
Even after the divorce from Heidi, Musk and Jana stayed in touch, and eventually, the two got together. Speaking to The Sun, Elon’s father said “And they still don’t like it. They still feel a bit creepy about it, because she’s their sister. Their half-sister”, explaining how his daughters felt about the news.

Errol Musk and Jana had their first child, Elliot Rush, in 2017 and their second child in 2019. Speaking of the second child, Musk said “I haven’t checked her DNA. But she looks just like my other daughters. She looks like Rose and Tosca mixed up.”
The tech CEO’s father continued, “She wasn’t planned. But I mean, we were living together. She [Jana] stayed here for about 18 months after Rushi was born. But I realised she’s two generations behind whereas her mother was one generation behind when I married her.”
He and Jana live separately now, and Musk explained it to the British tabloid, saying “So any man who marries a woman, even if you feel very sprightly, it’s going to be nice for a while. But there’s a big gap… And that gap is going to show itself.”

Musk confirmed they have a lot of affection for each other and added “But the thing is it’s not practical. She’s 35 next birthday. So she’s getting on. So eventually if I’m still around she might wind up back with me. It’s difficult.”
Her Instagram bio describes Jana as “Mother , ,soft ,artistic”, and she has a picture of her son up there, but the profile has been inactive for a while.
Jana changed her relationship status on Facebook to “in a relationship” in 2021, but didn’t say who it was with.
