Elon Musk’s father, Errol, 76, confirmed to The Sun that had a second child with his stepdaughter, Jana Bezuidenhout.

The father of the Tesla and SpaceX CEO had the child with the 34-year-old Jana in 2019, and told the British tabloid “The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce.”

The Musk patriarch already has a boy, Elliot Rush, with his stepdaughter. Errol also admitted that the pregnancy was “unplanned” and he no longer lives with Jana.

“Any man who marries a [younger] woman, even if you feel very sprightly, it’s going to be nice for a while, but there’s a big gap … and that gap is going to show itself”, he said, explaining the 41 years age difference between them.

He also opened up about the relationship he has with Jana and the kids. “I mean, I would much rather have them here. But Jana came and spent a few days here about six months ago. And the kids were starting to get on my nerves. Then I miss them as soon as they have gone”, Errol told The Sun.

Errol was initially married to Musk’s mother, Maye, with whom he had two other children – Kimbal and Tosca. The couple parted ways in 1979 and Errol then married Heide Bezuidenhout, a young widow with two children, one of whom was Jana.

Errol and Heide themselves parted ways after 18 years, during which time, they had two children of their own.

Musk’s father seems to share a similar point of view as the world’s richest man, who’s often urged people to have more children, warning of a population collapse. “If I could have another child I would. I can’t see any reason not to. If I had thought about it then Elon or Kimbal wouldn’t exist”, Errol told The Sun.
