The trailer for the third season of Netflix’s critically acclaimed British
comedy-drama series Sex Education is out. The school is going to go through big
some big changes. A new headmistress is in town and she is here to improve the
tarnished image of Moordale. Otis has grown a moustache, Adam and Eric have
made their relationship official and Aimee has discovered feminism. The fans
are on their toes and have mapped out some theories for the upcoming season.

In season two we saw Maeve and Otis confessing their love for each other
but the timing in both cases could not be worse. Maeve chose to do so while Otis
was happy and in a relationship with Ola. Otis end up rejecting Maeve’s advances
and cuts a frustrated figure when he says, “I liked you. I really liked you. I
turned myself inside out liking you.”

While when Otis finally confesses his feelings for Maeve in the final
episode of last season by sending her a voicemail but she never receives it as
it is deleted by Isaac. Some fans believe that Otis and Maeve are not meant to
be with each other. They both love each other and are good for each other but
it could be one of those relationships that does not have a happy ending
because of a number of external circumstances.

Another group of fans thinks that Ruby will fall in love with Otis and it would be
the start of a very unexpected relationship. They have not interacted a lot but
it is undeniable that there is some chemistry between them. It will be a weird
dynamic between the school’s most popular girl and the weird kid but it could
lead to the opening of an interesting storyline. Ruby’s character can be
explored further and some of her personal issues could be brought to light.

One more real possibility is season 3 ending on yet another cliffhanger
between Maeve and Otis with her finally discovering his voicemail but being unable
to do much about it. But would a repetition of this kind be liked by the fans
or will it get boring and seem like they have escalated the scene more than it
needs to be?
