The IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore will not be played on Monday, PTI reported. But the match has been rescheduled, and not cancelled. The KKR vs RCB game will be played sometime later in IPL 2021, which goes on till May 30.

The media reports of the match being postponed emerged after 2 players in the KKR camp – Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrior – tested positive for COVID-19. The match was going to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Reports also said that the news of the two players testing positive was shared by Pat Cummins with other Australians playing in the league.
The development is bound to trigger some anxiety in the tournament, which had been going along smoothly so far.
