Nicki Minaj dropped a trailer for her new documentary that will highlight her life and career. She took to Twitter on Thursday, July 28 to announce the title of her documentary. It is a two-minute trailer with the caption ‘Coming Soon!!! The #NickiDocumentary you didn’t know you needed. Love you so much.’
The documentary has been produced by the Canadian company Bron Studios and the trailer shows archival footage of Nicki Minaj from the time she just started rapping and her journey to become the global superstar.
The trailer begins with the clip of a young Nicki Minaj rapping and reflecting on her early come-up. A voiceover of her is heard in the background saying, “Female rappers weren’t really charting at the time. I’m fighting for the girls who never thought they could win.”

The clip also showcased different eras of Nicki’s career from her mix-tape era of the mid-aughts to the mainstream pop landscape in the early 2010s and to the era of her most recent album, Queen. The audience will also get to see clips of Minaj alongside her husband, Kenneth Petty.
The trailer concludes with footage of her on stage among thunderous roars of fans and she says, “There’s one thing they can’t do. And that’s the queen of hip-hop.”
It is a six-part documentary series each of which will be telling a different story focusing on Nicki Minaj and her career. The Canadian Bron Studios announced the project in the year 2020. The series is going to stream on HBO Max.

Nicki Minaj also took to her Instagram to announce the same. She posted the trailer and captioned it saying, “Coming out SOONER THAN YOU THINK. I took some time to perfect this very intimate, delicate, electrifying, inspiring body of work. As I decide on a home for this project, I can’t help but reflect on what I’m including in this doc. Some things are so personal, that it’s scary. It’s like NOTHING you’ve seen before & I need it to be handled with care. Love you so much. Thank you for the continued support.”
