Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Thursday, November 25, 2021. Gold futures were trading at Rs 47550.00 per 10 gm, up 112 points or 0.24%, in the Indian market. In global markets, gold was priced at $1,792.50 per oz.

Platinum was trading at $991.00 while palladium was trading at $1,883.00. Silver futures were trading at Rs 62890.00 per kg, up 255 points or 0.41%. In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 46,440 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 62,941 per kg on Wednesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Gold has struggled this year after hitting a record high of Rs 56,200 in 2020 as the dollar strengthened on hopes of a swift economic recovery as Covid vaccination picked up the pace.

Global equity markets also retreated today as investors grew increasingly concerned about a growing energy crisis and spiking inflation.

The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold in Delhi and Mumbai is Rs 51,100 and Rs 47,630, respectively. Twenty-two-carat gold for 10 grams is selling for Rs 46,850 and Rs 46,630 in Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.

In Chennai, 10 grams of 24-carat of yellow metal is selling at Rs 49,090 on Thursday, while 10 grams of 22-carat gold is selling at Rs 45,000. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold is selling at Rs 49,800, while 22-carat gold’s price is at Rs 47,100. In Bengaluru and Hyderabad, 24-carat gold is selling at Rs 48,760 while the price for 22-carat gold is Rs 44,700.

The rate of 1 kg of silver in Delhi and Mumbai is Rs 62,700 while in Chennai, the precious metal is trading at Rs 67,600. In Kolkata and Hyderabad, 1 kg of silver is selling at Rs 62,700 while in Bengaluru, the metal is trading at Rs 67,600.

Separately, Brent crude, the international oil benchmark, dipped 0.01% to USD 82.24 a barrel. Rupee falls 15 paise to 74.55 against US dollar in early trade.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 748.30 down 0.03 while Nickel and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 1587.60 and Rs 216.15 per Kg respectively on MCX.
