The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards announced on Monday had some special and memorable moments. One of the key highlights of the virtual event was a mini-reunion of one of the superhit TV series of all time, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Yes, you read that right! 

The reunion featured show’s female leads Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow. Jimmy Kimmel, the host for the night, checked up on Aniston via a video call and to everyone’s surprise, she was accompanied by her two best friends. American actor Jason Bateman also crashed their reunion.

The official Twitter account of Television Academy posted a GIF featuring the three stars and wrote, “Betcha didn’t see a F.R.I.E.N.D.S reunion coming at the 2020 Emmys.”  

Cox, who was the roommate and best friend of Aniston in the popular sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S., told Jimmy that “We live together”. When Jimmy Kimmel asked the trio, “You do?” Aniston replied, “We’ve been roommates since 1994, Jimmy.”

Aniston presented the award in one of the categories with Kimmel on-stage and later made an appearance with her co-stars virtually while the award for her category was announced. She was nominated for Best Actress (Drama) for her performance in ‘The Morning Show’.

Meanwhile, it has been declared that a special reuinion episode featuring Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer will be filmed soon. The show will stream on HBO Max and will reportedly be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. However, it has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
