Euphoria fans mourned the loss of Angus Cloud on Monday (July 31), as the rising star’s family announced that he died at just 25 years old.

The Euphoria season 2 finale in February 2022 left us with a lot of unanswered issues. It goes without saying that season 3 cannot come soon enough. But will season breaks be as protracted as they were for season 2 or will Euphoria season 3 air sooner than anticipated?

With the revelation of the charges against his programme The Idol, the show’s creator Sam Levinson has been in the news for all the wrong reasons over the past several months. Most agree that the show’s production is in complete shambles.

Is Euphoria season 3 canceled?

The rumour was posted on a website named Koimoi, which cited an Instagram post from the mysterious celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi. The blind article claims that Sam Levinson is purportedly having issues with HBO and that season 3 of Euphoria would no longer be produced.

This is not confirmed by HBO.

Shoot Predictions

Unfortunately, the start of production on Euphoria season 3 has been postponed. The new season was initially expected to start filming in early 2023, with some newspapers reporting a start in February 2023. However, actress Maude Apatow clarified in a Vogue interview.

Season 3 filming, according to Apatow, will start in the “later half of 2023.”

Release Date

HBO Executive Francesca Orsi spoke to Deadline in May. According to her, a 2025 release date is probable.

Cast

Angus Cloud was likely going to return as Fez in the third season of the series.

Barbie Ferreira, a significant cast member of Euphoria, will also not be back for season 3. The 26-year-old actress played Kat, one of our favourite characters, for the first two seasons before announcing her departure in the summer of 2022. There have been rumours of potential turmoil in the background, particularly around the show’s creator Sam Levinson, but nothing has been proven.

Given that Ashtray could not have survived the shooting in the season 2 finale, Javon Walton won’t be appearing in Euphoria season 3 unless it is for flashback scenes.

In the character of Elliot, singer Dominic Fike made his Euphoria season 2 debut. He revealed in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that he will return for season 3.
