Love is Blind follows contestants as they enter into purpose-built pods to communicate with each other using only their voices. If a proposal is accepted, the couple is then able to meet face-to-face and must ultimately decide whether to pursue marriage or not.

Despite the show’s popularity, fans have questioned the authenticity of the series. However, Melissa Cuevas, the sister of a Season 1 contestant, Mark Cuevas, has stated that “none” of the show is scripted in response to a fan comment on social media.

Chris Coelen said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “As a producer, I was kind of nervous like, is anybody actually gonna get engaged? Is anyone going to make it to the altar? And, in the end, we actually had more couples get engaged than we were able to follow on the show.”

While the show’s producers were reportedly surprised by some of the outcomes of the series, it is possible that certain aspects are influenced by producers, despite the show being unscripted.

The show’s first five episodes of the fourth season are now available on Netflix, with new episodes scheduled to be added each Friday. Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey and set in Seattle, Washington, this season will see 30 hopeful singles embark on a romantic journey to find their soulmates.

Love is Blind has captured the attention of viewers globally with its unique premise and has successfully completed three seasons to date. With the fourth season now airing, fans will be eagerly anticipating the outcome of each contestant’s journey to love.
