Zack Goytowski and Irina Solomonova were two of the contestants on the recently concluded Love Is Blind season on Netflix. The show follows 30 singles, 15 men and 15 women, from Seattle as they speed-date in “Pods” where they can talk to each other without seeing each other. Zack and Irina met and got engaged in The Pods, but their relationship didn’t last long as they broke up in episode 5 after their vacation in Mexico.

Irina revealed in an interview with Today that she felt that Zack wasn’t the person for her. She explained that it wasn’t about his looks or anything like that, but a gut feeling that they weren’t meant to be together. Zack confirmed that they haven’t spoken since their breakup and that he never responded to Irina’s text messages.

When asked about her behavior towards Zack during the show, Irina admitted that she wasn’t her best self at times. She expressed her excitement to learn from her mistakes and put her best foot forward. She also clarified that she didn’t regret choosing Zack on Love Is Blind season 4 and that they connected well on topics like family, trauma, and life in general.

Irina further revealed that there wasn’t a specific reason for their breakup, but a combination of little things that made her feel that Zack wasn’t the person for her. She also addressed her feud with Bliss, another contestant on the show whom Zack rejected before getting engaged to Irina. Irina clarified that she had no harsh feelings towards Bliss and even encouraged Zack to pursue her after their breakup. She explained that she had no bad blood with Bliss and that she could understand if Bliss had any negative feelings towards her.

Although their relationship didn’t work out, Irina has no hard feelings towards Zack and wishes him the best. She expressed her hope that he finds the person he’s meant to be with. Despite the breakup, Irina also found some positive takeaways from her experience on Love Is Blind season 4.

“I definitely grew from this experience,” Irina told People. “I feel like I learned so much about myself, what I’m looking for in a partner, and what I need to work on as well. I’m just excited to see where life takes me next and to continue to grow and learn.”

As for her future love life, Irina isn’t ruling out the possibility of finding love again. “I’m definitely open to love,” she said. “I’m excited to see where life takes me, and if someone comes along, then they come along. But right now, I’m just focused on myself and my own growth.”
