Netflix,
which has become quite popular lately in India, has launched its user
interface in Hindi – the third most spoken language in the world after English
and Mandarin.

From the
sign up to search rows, collections, and payment, Netflix is available in Hindi
across all devices on mobile, TV, and web.

Consumers
can switch to Hindi user interface from the ‘language option’ in the ‘Manage
Profiles’ section on their computers, television, or mobile browsers.

Monika
Shergill, VP-Content, Netflix India, said, “Delivering a great Netflix
experience is as important to us as creating great content. We believe the new
user interface will make Netflix even more accessible and better suit members
who prefer Hindi.”

The Hindi
experience of Netflix is accessible not only in India but also in all other
nations where the service is available.

The language
changes are profile-specific – if one of the users wants to switch to Hindi
while others want to continue with English, they can do so for their profile, without
affecting the experience of others.

Here’s how
you can do it:

  • To switch to
Hindi, open Netflix on the web
  • Log into
your account and select the ‘Manage Profiles’ button on the profile-selection
    page
  • Click on the
pencil-shaped edit button appearing on top of your profile and pick ‘Hindi’
from options under the ‘Language’ tab
  • Finally,
    click on ‘Save’
  • And, ‘Done’
to apply the changes and start streaming in Hindi.

Netflix is
investing heavily in Indian films and series across genres and generations,
including hits like Sacred Games, Bulbbul, Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai and Mighty
Little Bheem.

The company
recently announced a lineup of 17 stories, including Ludo, A Suitable Boy and
Mismatched and the upcoming film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl which will
release on August 12.
