Singer Olivia Rodrigo and Megan Thee Stallion, during their respective performances at the Glastonbury Festival 2022 in England on Saturday, slammed US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v Wade ruling.

Rodrigo sent a message to five supreme court justices who voted to overturn the law.

“I’m devastated and terrified,” the 19-year-old ‘Driving License’ singer told the crowd.

“So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this. I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have showed us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a s–t about freedom,” she continued.

“The song is for the justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you! We hate you,” she added.

Megan Thee Stallion, on the other hand, said, “You guys know it wouldn’t be me if I don’t take a second to call out these stupid damn men, I mean God damn, what else do you want?” adding, “Texas is really embarrassing me right now.”

On Friday, Megan took to Instagram to share a few facts related to the US Supreme Court’s decision.

“The court has failed us all- but we won’t back down. I’m going to keep fighting because everyone deserves access to the care they need,” she wrote.

Several other musicians like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Halsey, and Lizzo also spoke against the court’s decision.

“I’m absolutely terrified that this is where we are – that after so many decades of people fighting for women’s rights to their own bodies, today’s decision has stripped us of that,” Swift wrote.
