This year’s 29th SAG Awards ceremony will be broadcasted live on Netflix’s YouTube channel. In addition, starting in 2024, the SAG Awards will stream live globally on the site owing to a new multi-year relationship.
“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting new partnership with Netflix, and we look forward to expanding the global audience for our show,” said SAG-AFTRA national executive director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland. “As the only televised awards program exclusively honoring the performances of actors whose work is admired by millions of fans, the SAG Awards are a unique and cherished part of the entertainment universe.”

The awards, voted on by the Hollywood actors’ guild SAG-AFTRA, were announced Wednesday on Instagram Live by Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus) and Ashley Park (Emily in Paris).
Nominations
Nominees for the guild’s top award, Best Ensemble, are: Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Fabelmans and Women Talking.
Nominations for Best Performance by a female Actor in a Leading Role are: Cate Blanchett (Tár), Viola Davis (The Woman King), Ana de Armas (Blonde), Danielle Deadwyler (Till) and Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

Nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in leading role are: Austin Butler (Elvis), Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin), Brendan Fraser (The Whale), Bill Nighy (Living) and Adam Sandler (Hustle).
Nominations for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture are: Avatar: The Way of Water, The Batman, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Top Gun: Maverick, The Woman King.

Nominees for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series are: Andor, The Boys, House of the Dragon, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Stranger Things.
One of the most trustworthy Oscar predictors is the SAG Awards. Rarely does a film performance that was not nominated by the on-screen performers really take home an Oscar. The majority of the film academy is made up of actors, hence their decisions have the most influence.

The 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards will be televised on Netflix’s YouTube channel on February 26 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT. The awards will recognise the great performances of both individual actors and ensembles.
