In January 2023, actor Stanley Tucci appeared in the BBC Radio 4 podcast Desert Island Discs. Tucci discussed his marriage to Felicity Blunt in the interview, admitting that because of their age gap, he attempted to call it quits early on. The 62-year-old actor from “The Devil Wears Prada” is 21 years older than his wife.

Relationship Timeline: Stanley Tucci and Felicity Blunt

Stanley Tucci and Felicity Blunt first met on the red carpet premiere of The Devil Wears Prada in 2006, when Emily introduced her co-star and her sister to each other. At the time, Tucci was with Kathryn Tucci, his first wife.

Over a year after Kate passed away from breast cancer, Tucci and Blunt reconnected in Emily Blunt‘s wedding to John Krasinski in 2010. They hit it off again, and things soon grew romantic.

After dating for a year, Blunt and Tucci got engaged in 2011. Tucci casually revealed that he had wed Blunt in August 2012 during a quick interview with the New York Daily News.

The couple co-authored The Tucci Table in 2014, which has dishes that share both his Italian ancestry and her British roots. Tucci and Blunt announced their first pregnancy together in October 2014, as reported by US Weekly. Their son Matteo Oliver was born on January 25, 2015.

Tucci praised Blunt for taking such good care of him and his three children with his late wife Kate in an interview with The Guardian published in 2017. Emilia Giovanna, a baby girl, was born to Tucci and Blunt on April 19 as their second child together.

During a PEOPLE interview, Tucci disclosed that he had been diagnosed with oral cancer in 2017, which left him unable to eat and dependent on a feeding tube after he underwent radiation and chemotherapy treatments on his tongue. He gave his wife credit for assisting him in getting better amid the trying time.
