Cara Dune is a character in the Star Wars universe, portrayed by actress Gina Carano. She first appeared in the Disney+ series ‘The Mandalorian,’ which premiered in 2019. Cara Dune is a former shock trooper who fought for the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War.

Cara Dune was born on Alderaan and was orphaned as a child when the planet was destroyed by the Death Star. She joined the Imperial Academy at a young age and became a skilled fighter. However, she defected to the Rebel Alliance after witnessing the Empire’s cruelty firsthand.

In ‘The Mandalorian’, Cara Dune is a skilled fighter and a close ally of the show’s titular character, Din Djarin. She first appears in the series’ fourth episode, where she helps Din and his companion, Kuiil, defend a village from raiders. Throughout the series, Cara assists Din in several missions and helps him protect the Child, also known as Baby Yoda.
