Top Gun: Maverick star and producer Tom Cruise appears to have skipped the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards despite his film being nominated in many categories.

While he was missing from the red carpet, it is not known if he will attend the ceremony. His decision to not attend this year’s Golden Globe awards comes almost two years after Variety reported he returned his Golden Globe trophies to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association over its diversity scandal.
