Elon Musk announced the release of a fragrance called ‘Burnt Hair’ on Twitter, and has put it on sale on The Boring Company’s website.

What is ‘Burnt Hair’?

Keeping with his habit of turning jokes into highly coveted products, Musk has taken it a whole new level with the release of ‘Burnt Hair’. Yes, it’s exactly what you think it is, the smell of burning hair distilled into drops which you can spray on yourself.

Musk describes it as the “finest fragrance on Earth.” With the announcement, in keeping with his propensity for jokes, the co-founder of SpaceX and Tesla changed his Twitter bio to ‘Perfume Salesman.’ On the website, the tagline for the fragrance is, “”The Essence of Repugnant Desire.”

Available on The Boring Company’s website for $100 dollars, it is parked next to The Boring Company’s Not-A-Flamethrower, which is, you’ve guessed it, a flamethrower.

Parked at the bottom of the product screen are testimonials for the acrid smell, “Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work” and “Stand out in a crowd! Get noticed as you walk through the airport.”

Musk has said that payments for Burnt Hair can be made with the cryptocurrency, Dogecoin. In addition, he has provided regular updates on the number of units sold. So far, the billionaire has tweeted that 10,000 bottles of Burnt Hair have been taken off the proverbial shelves. Musk later tweeted that he couldn’t wait for the media to cover the event, writing, “Can’t wait for media stories tomorrow about $1M of Burnt Hair sold.”

The billionaire, who has a penchant for taking things to an extreme, decided to really get behind his role as Perfume Salesman, writing, “”With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!?”

The perfume comes in a scarlet, voluptuous bottle with the name Burnt Hair on the front and embossed in black towards the bottom of the bottle, “S I N G E D”.
