Ankita Bansal is a 30-year-old Delhi-based entrepreneur who appeared on Indian Matchmaking. She is the co-founder and partner of an Indian fashion brand THERE! She previously worked as an Account Manager at Creative Marketing Fix.

According to, she completed her studies at Ansal Institute of Technology, Gurgaon. During the show, Ankita revealed how her weight was always a concern for nosy relatives when it came to her marriage. On her first meeting with Sima Taparia, Ankita tells her that she recently started her garment business where she and her sister Mallika look after the designing and manufacturing process. 

Ankita was seen enlisting the desirable qualities she wants in her partner. She wanted a partner who was supportive of her career as an entrepreneur and treats her as an equal in marriage. Sima told her that her network is not appropriate for her demand as all clients belong to traditional families.

Taparia along with a relationship expert Geeta tried to help Ankita find a partner for an arranged marriage. Geeta was seen questioning Ankita’s ideologies and preferences.

Ankita was introduced to Kshitij. Their date went well but Ankita later discovered that Kshitij was a divorcee. Disappointed with the way things turned out, Ankita met a life coach through Taparia and decided to make her career her priority.

Ankita stood against prejudice when she was told to be flexible. After her journey at Indian Matchmaking, many netizens stood by her ideologies. A few called her “queen” and others went on to say that she is a “gem”. A tweet also mentioned that “At every stage, she seems calmly aware of the ridiculousness of the whole system.”

Season 2 of Indian Matchmaking will premiere on August 10, 2022, on Netflix. Indian Matchmaking revolves around Sima Taparia, a Mumbai-based matchmaker, who travels extensively around the world to help people find their true soulmates.
