Vikram Vedha starring Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan hit the screens on September 30, 2022. The film, directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, is a remake of their 2017 Tamil film of the same name.

The intriguing fable of King Vikramaditya and the celestial spirit Betaal is retold by Saif Ali Khan’s righteous Inspector Vikram and Hrithik Roshan’s anti-hero, Vedha Betal. Inspector Vikram believes in the police force and believes that encounters are the only way to end crime.

Who is Saif Ali Khan ?

Saif Ali Khan is an Indian actor and producer. He is the son of actress Sharmila Tagore and cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, and a member of the Pataudi family.

Khan debuted as an actor in Parampara (1993). Prior to scoring his first solo box office success with Kya Kehna, he struggled to find success as the lead actor in solo lead movies during the 1990s. He only occasionally found success in the superhit multi-starrers Yeh Dillagi (1994), Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Kachche Dhaage (1999), and Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999). (2000). He received numerous honours for his work on the ensemble casts of the blockbuster comedies Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) and Dil Chahta Hai (2001), as well as for his roles in the romantic comedies Hum Tum (2004), Parineeta (2005), and Salaam Namaste (2006). He also enjoyed tremendous critical and commercial success (2005).

Khan received praise for his portrayal of a troubled cop in Sacred Games (2018), Netflix’s first original Indian series, and as the primary antagonist in Tanhaji (2020), which stands as his biggest grossing release. This came after another streak of unsuccessful projects.

Khan has garnered numerous honours, including a National Film Honour, seven Filmfare Awards, and the fourth-highest Indian civilian award, the Padma Shri, in 2010.  He has received praise for his work in a variety of cinema genres, including crime dramas, action thrillers, and comedic romances. His film roles are credited with changing how people think about Hindi film heroes. Khan is a theatrical performer, regular television host, and the proprietor of the production companies Illuminati Films and Black Knight Films in addition to appearing in movies.

Khan met actress Amrita Singh while filming Bekhudi 1992, whom he married in October 1991. They had a daughter, Sara Ali Khan, in 1995, and a son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, in 2001. In 2004, the couple divorced.

Khan married actress Kareena Kapoor in a private ceremony in Bandra, Mumbai, on October 16, 2012, after a five-year courtship, and a reception was later held at The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and the Lutyens Bungalow Zone in Mumbai and Delhi, respectively. The couple has two sons, both born in 2016 and 2021.
