Saif Ali Khan is an Indian actor and producer. He is the son of actress Sharmila Tagore and cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, and a member of the Pataudi family.
Khan debuted as an actor in Parampara (1993). Prior to scoring his first solo box office success with Kya Kehna, he struggled to find success as the lead actor in solo lead movies during the 1990s. He only occasionally found success in the superhit multi-starrers Yeh Dillagi (1994), Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Kachche Dhaage (1999), and Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999). (2000). The couple has two sons, both born in 2016 and 2021.
