Lil Wayne has pulled out of the New York Governors Ball performance just three days after he replaced Migos, and hours before the rapper was slated to perform this weekend. He stated “flight disruption” as the reason behind the cancellation, and has been replaced by A$AP Ferg, who prefers to be called Ferg.

Variety noted that a spokesperson for the event hasn’t responded yet about the nature of flight disruption. However, weather in neither New York nor much of the east coast shows any major storms. As per Flightstats.com reports, there have been some delays out of Miami, where Lil Wayne is based. These have been labelled “excessive” by them, but the Federal Aviation Administration’s reports have depicted the situation as less extreme.

Migos pulled out of the event due to what organizers labelled as events out of their control. Lil Wayne had stepped in at the time. There were some rumours about growing bad feelings between Quavo and Offset, and sparked speculation that Migos might be splitting up. However, representatives spoke to Variety, noting that the appearance was called off since Quavo was part of a movie that began filming on Thursday.
