Tigers often feed on huge prey such as deer, wild boar, and elephant calves. They occasionally transform into man-eating tigers and hunt humans. Tigers are poor climbers, and birds are not their major food source. When tigers come upon large birds such as chickens or ducks, they will eat them. Unlike lions, which hunt in herds, tigers are mostly solitary as adults and hunt alone.

A video of three tigers chasing one duck in a tiny lake in the midst of a jungle is going popular on social media. Two tigers are shown in the video standing in shallow water in the lake, while the third is seen standing outside. The tiger in the centre appears to be the most intent on hunting the duck. When the duck sees the tigers, it dives into the water to hide. The tiger in the centre notices the duck approaching and pounces on it, but misses it by a split second.

The duck appears on the water again, and two tigers prepare to catch it, but they miss it again again. The middle tiger is swift enough the third time and captures the duck with its mouth. The tiger then emerges from the water with its victim and continues on his route. The other tigers are just standing around, waiting to see if they can see any more ducks.
