Bengaluru is quite well-known for traffic congestion. Many people in the IT hub regularly post hellish photos of bumper-to-bumper traffic and commuter frustrations on social media.

But this time, in a broadly circulated social media post, a man named Shrikant took shots at Bengaluru traffic by offering to sell gears.

He posted on Twitter and wrote – “My friend in Bangalore is planning to sell the third, fourth and fifth gears of his car. They are unused and are in showroom condition. Any buyers in Bangalore?”

It has received over 8,000 likes, with users finding it relatable and leaving comments in huge numbers.

One user replied – “Why can’t he drive between 12 am to 4 am?”

Another user wrote – “Pretty sad that even after paying lakhs in taxes, we can’t even raise genuine concerns. Wasn’t aware that we are supposed to shut up and suffer quietly to be a Proud Citizen.”

“Instead try selling land on Moon, some buyers will come surely,” wrote a third user.

Bengaluru has the world’s most congested traffic. According to TomTom, a global provider of navigation, traffic, and map products based in the Netherlands, India’s startup hub beat out 415 other cities from 57 countries to earn the title in 2019.

Mumbai, Pune, and New Delhi were the other Indian cities in the top ten, coming in fourth, fifth, and eighth place, respectively.

With a population of over eight million people and an urban population of about 11 million, the city is the capital and largest city of Karnataka and India’s third most populous city.
