Social media users in India, for the last few years, are used to actor Kangana Ranaut taking on Bollywood celebrities on Twitter but this time, it was Grammy-winning singer Rihanna and climate change activist Greta Thunberg’s turn to face Ranaut’s wrath.

On Tuesday, Rihanna took to Twitter to share a CNN post on the ongoing farmers’ protest in India. In her caption, she said, “Why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest.”

While her post was widely received as a post of awareness about the protests in India and was well appreciated, Ranaut was not amused and decided to school Rihanna.

She said, “No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA… Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies.”

Ranaut’s reaction garnered major reactions, mostly leaving Twitter users in splits and triggering a meme fest.

Teen activist Thunberg too was not spared by Ranaut as she called her a ‘ dumb and a spoilt brat’. She said, “No fancy activists will talk about genuine environmentalist our own grandma … but they will definitely promote dumb and a spoilt brat ⁦@GretaThunbergwho is being used by entire left lobby and in return she gets to skip her education and school.”

While Rihanna failed to amuse Ranaut, her awareness and support was appreciated by many celebs. Canadian YouTuber and talk show host Lilly Singh thanked the singer

Lilly said, “Yes! Thank you so much @rihanna. This is a humanity issue! #IStandWithFarmers and this narrative is TIRED.”

Bollywood actor Richa Chadha too appreciated Rihanna and shared her post with a heart and prayer emoji. Chadha also shared Thunberg’s tweet where she had shared the same CNN post like Rihanna and said, “We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India.”
