With 2020 being the year of hit web shows, 2021 is under a lot of pressure to look equally good. With shows like Never Have I Ever, Money Heist S4, Aarya, Special Ops and several others releasing and making it big on the OTT platform, the audience is excited to know what they’re in for in 2021. Excited to know more? Read on.

1. Tandav

Created and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, and starring Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia in key roles, Tandav looks like a promising political thriller all set to release on January 15, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video. The one-minute teaser that was released recently promises a nail-biting thriller performance by the ensemble cast, including Tigmanshu Dhulia, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Gauahar Khan. 

2. The White Tiger

The White Tiger, starring Priyanka Chopra, Rajkumar Rao, and Adarsh Gaurav in key roles is all set to release on January 22, 2021 on Netflix. The film is based on author Aravind Adiga’s 2008 novel with the same title. Through the trailer, we get a glimpse of the ugly deep-rooted class division, corruption, poverty and backwardness that is still prevalent in India. The flick follows the extraordinary journey of Balram Halwai, played by Adarsh Gourav and how his life goes from rags to riches. 

3. Money Heist (Season 5)

Money Heist is currently the most-watched non-English show all over the world and after Alicia Sierra found about the whereabouts of the Professor, all of us were shocked beyond words when they ended the series on that cliffhanger. We can’t wait to see what happens next and if something fruitful comes out of Nairobi’s death, which was totally out of the blue, unnecessary and SAD. Money Heist is set to release tentatively in April 2021 on Netflix and let’s see if the wait is worth our while!

4. Jeet Ki Zid

Directed by Vishal Mangalorkar, Jeet Ki Zid is all set to release on Zee 5 on January 22, 2021. Inspired by the true-life story of Kargil war hero, Major Deependra Singh Senger, it stars Amit Sadh, Amrita Puri, Sushant Singh, Ali Goni in key roles. It revolves around the undying spirit of a soldier to serve the nation and how an army man puts his country’s pride before anything. 

5. The Family Man 2

Set to release on Amazon Prime, the show starring Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, Gul Panag and Shreya Dhanwanthary ended on a cliffhanger in season 1 and fans have been waiting ever since, to see what happens next. Samantha Akkineni will be seen in a negative role in The Family Man 2. The release date hasn’t been announced yet but we can’t wait! 

With TV series having lost their glitz and glamour amongst the watchers, people are eager to see what’s lined up for them in 2021. Several shows released this year and were loved by fans because 2020 actually gave us the time to explore the web platform.
