A Twitter video of Royal Bengal tiger jumping off a boat has sparked a frenzy on social media. The tiger, which
was being transported by boat to the Sundarbans for release into the wild,
dives into the water in the video. It swims into its natural habitat
without so much as a glance back at the boat.

Parween
Kalwaan, an Indian Forest Officer (IFS), tweeted the video, writing, “The tiger
sized jump though. Old video of rescue and release of tiger from
Sundarbans.”

home to the world’s only mangrove tiger habitat. The number of tigers in the Sundarbans
is estimated to be 96, according to a recent tiger estimation exercise
