Bollywood actor Salman Khan recently uploaded a video of him singing ‘Lag Ja Gale’, revering late singer Lata Mangeshkar. 

Sharing the 1 minute 15 seconds long video on Instagram, the 56-year-old actor wrote, “Never has been, never will be anyone like you Lataji.”

In the video, Khan is seen in a casual blue t-shirt, with his hair slipped back. Singing the melodious track, the actor is seen remembering the late icon. The backdrop of the video shows a dark portrait of the actor with his pet dog. 

Uploaded a few hours ago, the Instagram video has amassed over 2.1 million views and more than 15,000 comments. 

One Instagram user wrote, “Until the very last minutes of the world, Lata ji’s songs shall be soared. Forever a legend.”

Another user added, “Legends are born to live in the hearts.”

One user asked, “Bhai are you crying?”

The ‘Radhe’ actor has over 49.6 million followers on Instagram. He often posts endorsements, glimpses of his workout routine, and promotional posters and teasers of his upcoming projects on the platform.

On Tuesday, Khan uploaded a picture of himself laying on his mother’s lap. The Instagram post has over 2.5 million likes and a whopping 45,000 comments. 

The caption of the post reads, “Maa ki godh… Jannat. (Mom’s lap… paradise).”

Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on February 6. She was hospitalized in January after developing critical symptoms of Covid-19. The ‘Lag Ja Gale’ singer died of multiple organ failure. She was 92. 

Many public figures including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor paid tribute to the icon at Shivaji Park, Mumbai. 

The veteran singer’s family visited Nashik on Thursday to immerse her ashes on the banks of a holy river.
