A nonchalant cat entered Vinicius Jr’s FIFA World Cup 2022 press conference on Wednesday and sat royally on the table before being taken off by Brazil’s press official. The 22-year-old Real Madrid forward was laughing his wits out at the scene, while the reporters on the other side of the table were also left in laughter and awe.

“I talked with Ancelotti and he gave me a lot of advice to help me become a starter with Brazil. He gave me a lot of confidence,” Vinicius said. “He was always was tough with me when he needed to be. He is like a father to me.”

“He is good not only with the technical aspects of the game, but also with how he deals with his players,” he added. “I have been improving a lot and Ancelotti has helped me with that. He and (Brazil coach) Tite are very similar and they talk to each other a lot.”

Brazil are easily one of the favourite contenders to win the FIFA World Cup 2022. They have produced high-quality football and Vinicius Jr has been central to their attack throughout. He scored the first goal in the 4-1 quarter-final thrashing of South Korea with an effortless chip shot over the goalkeeper’s head.

Apart from that, the winger has managed two assists, including the one that led to Richarlison’s wonder goal in the match against Serbia.
