Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James, received words of support on Tuesday after it was reported that he “suffered a cardiac arrest” on Monday while working out at the Galen Center at USC.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin offered his support to Bronny and the James family. Damar Hamlin faced a similar situation six months ago when he went into rapid cardiac arrest while playing against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hamlin posted on Twitter, praying for Bronny and his family during this trying time, and offered his support.

“Prayers to Bronny & The James family as well. Here for you guys just like you have been for me my entire process,” Hamlin tweeted.

Damar Hamlin, in April, revealed that commotio cordis, a rare condition brought on by a blow to the chest, was the reason for his almost deadly collapse during “Monday Night Football” When a person suffers a severe chest blow, it is known as commotio cordis, which results in a rapid cardiac arrest.

According to Dr. Rod Passman, director of the Center for arrhythmia research at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, the condition only occurs under extremely unusual circumstances, such as when a direct blow to the heart occurs “at the exact wrong location at the exact wrong timing” during the heart’s rhythm cycle.

James has joined an increasing trend of athletes who have experienced heart problems in recent years, with Christian Eriksen and Damar Hamlin perhaps receiving the most attention.

Heart attack, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, heart valve disease, congenital heart defect, Long QT syndrome (LQTS), and other issues with heart signaling are some of the conditions that can lead to a cardiac arrest, which is an electrical problem in the heart that causes it to stop beating.

Cardiac arrest may also result from myocarditis. The James family were outspoken supporters of the vaccination soon after it was introduced, and LeBron and Bronny are thought to have received at least two doses. However, there is no evidence that this is what caused Bronny’s terrible experience.
