Tennis legend Serena Williams has welcomed her second child into the world, sharing the news of her daughter’s arrival on TikTok on Tuesday, August 22. 

Serena and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, are now the proud parents to a beautiful baby girl. The couple also revealed the name of their newborn “Adira River Ohanian.”

Alexis Ohanian in a tweet shared the news, “Welcome, Adira River Ohanian. I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT. Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter 🙏 I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister. “Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.””

Serena Williams announced the birth of her new kid on TikTok with a touching family film. Serena, her spouse, and their first child are first seen on the couch in the heartwarming video. Her father and older sister gather around in amazement at the newest member of their family as she returns a short while later, holding their newborn daughter, Adira.

Serena Williams made her pregnancy known earlier this year, and it was revealed a few weeks ago that she and her spouse, Alexis Ohanian, were looking forward to a baby girl.

Notably, Serena Williams married Alexis Ohanian in 2017, barely two months before giving birth to her first baby, Olympia. She defeated her sister Venus Williams in the final, and her incredible achievement of winning the Australian Open while expecting Olympia will always be remembered. In  August, she video uploaded to her YouTube page, where she expressed her joy over the impending arrival of her second child.
