Morocco are the first African team to reach the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Led by PSG’s Achraf Hakimi and Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech, they have defeated giants like Spain and Portugal to reach the semi-final. That itself was a historic feat as no other African team has done it before Morocco.

The first goal in the match in the 5th minute thanks to the French Theo Hernandez. Since the first goal Morocco managed to create several chances, coming close to scoring many times, but failed to do it eventually.

France scored the second goal at the Randal Kolo Muani in the 79th minute. With that goal, it seemed the Les Blues are all set for their second FIFA World Cup final in a row. If the score stays this way, they will be meeting Lionel Messi and Argentina in the final.

Morocco on the other hand will play Croatia for the third-place playoffs on Saturday, December 17. However, in spite of their loss, their performance in the tournament will remain one of the most memorable underdogs runs ever in the FIFA World Cup.
