Week 14 of
the NFL saw AFC East top dog Buffalo Bills score a comprehensive 20-12 victory
over New York Jets. Detroit Lions, riding high on the
back of a recent 5-1 performance, handed the Minnesota Vikings a surprise defeat.

Minnows Houston Texans came agonisingly close to beating the Dallas Cowboys
after leading till the last minute. The Cowboys scraped through to a 27-23 win in
a typical Wild West fashion. The Buccaneers suffered a comprehensive
drubbing by San Francisco 49ers.

a look at the top five quarterbacks of Week 14

1.       Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville
Jaguars)

Trevor Lawrence tops the list as he scored three decisive touchdowns and
carried the Jaguars on his shoulders against the Tennessee Titans. In a highly
important clash between toppers Titans and Jaguars who trail them, the
performance by the 23-year-old ensured a much needed win for the latter, who bridged
the gap at the top.

2.       Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles)

The Philadelphia Eagles rode high on a clinical performance by Jalen
Hurts as they made light work of the New York Giants by scoring a 48-22
victory. Hurts completed 21 passes off the 31 he
attempted for two touchdowns. The victory helped the Eagles
extend their lead at the top of NFC East.

3.       Jared Goff (Detroit Lions)

In one of the surprises of the Week, Detroit Lions beat the Minnesota
Vikings 34-23. Jared Goff produced one of his finest performances of the season
by scoring three touchdowns while also completing 27 of his 39 attempted
passes. However, the Vikings lead the Lions by a big margin in NFL North.

4.       Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings)

While top dog Minnesota Vikings suffered a slightly unexpected defeat at
the hands of Detroit Lions, Kirk Cousins put up an inspired show for the side,
scoring two touchdowns. The Vikings next take on Indianapolis Colts on
Saturday.

5.       Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)

Buffalo Bills’ mainstay Allen scored an
important touchdown in Bills’ 20-12 victory over New York Jets and thus shut
down any hopes of the Jets of beating the big team twice this season.
