Teddy Bridgewater, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, injured his right finger against the New England Patriots on Sunday. He was questionable to return.
He was replaced for the remainder of the game by the former Kansas State quarterback Skylar Thompson, who was picked up by the Dolphins as the 274th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Dolphins fans on Twitter complained about the injury-prone season that Bridgewater has been having. He has started only two games for the Dolphins this season, including the week 17 clash with the Patriots, and retired injured in both.
“This is why I’m not a huge believer in Teddy Bridgewater,” a fan wrote on Twitter, adding, “He’ll look good for a half, utilize his check-downs, but he’ll eventually throw an ugly interception He almost through 1 earlier on a deep-shot to nobody except a #Patriots safety.”
“I like Teddy Bridgewater. I remember how good he was in college and he seems like a good dude. However, it’s possible he’s a top 5 pussy in all of NFL history. Anytime something happens that COULD result in an injury to him…it does. At this point its mental,” another fan said.
Bridgewater is Dolphin’s second-choice quarterback. They brought him into the team after Tua Tagovailova – the first choice there, was ruled out with a concussion injury. The frustration of the Dolphins fans over their quarterback situation is understandable and they made their feeling known on social media.
“If I had a nickel for every time Tua Tagovailoa had a concussion with Teddy Bridgewater replacing him only to get hurt and Skylar Thompson to come in. I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice right?” wrote one.
“If Tua is injury prone what is Teddy Bridgewater ???” another one asked.
